I loved the story's overall flow so much that I wouldn't let this turn anyone off to picking up this fantastic thriller. At other times I felt the connection between Logan and her dads felt a bit off and stiff – however, I thought this might have been done on purpose given their history. Alejo and Brandon (Logan's dads) also had interesting character and development I felt was relatable, and I sympathized with their painful history and burdens.Īt times I had to reread sections to remember if I was in Ashely or Logan's POV, which brought me out of the story – but as a whole, this was a minimal problem for me. I enjoyed both Logan and Ashely's storyline and was drawn into their emotions and histories from the early chapters. As she continues to search, she and Logan team up to continue their investigation – becoming unlikely friends along the way.
